Diplomová práce Život bez Facebooku: Experimentální studie neužívání sociální sítě Facebook se zaměřuje na neužívání sociální sítě a reflexi odpojení se od ní. Mapuje funkce, které Facebook plní v individuálním i skupinovém životě jedince, představy o světě bez něj a prožitky z odpojení se, které bylo mezi vybranými respondenty navozeno v rámci týdenního experimentu. Cílem práce je nastínit, jaký je život bez Facebooku, poukázat na jeho potenciální výhody i nevýhody a popsat, s čím se jedinec odpojený od sociální sítě může potýkat uvnitř sebe i v rámci svého sociálního okolí. Tato diplomová práce chce přispět k pochopení významu Facebooku ve společnosti a nabídnout cesty k reflexi jeho používání. V teoretické části práce nabízí popis fenoménů souvisejících s online sociálními sítěmi z hlediska mediálních studií. Stručně se zabývá i deskripcí samotného Facebooku a jeho stavu v České republice a předkládá souhrn studií objasňujících uživatelství i neuživatelství této sociální sítě. Metodologická část práce popisuje samotný výzkum, který proběhl formou experimentu, doprovodných rozhovorů a krátkého dotazníku. Na základě kvalitativní analýzy získaných dat pak bylo načrtnuto několik závěrů o tom, jaké funkce Facebook plní v životech jedinců, jak se to projevuje, pokud se odpojí, a jak je odpojení se od sociální... The diploma thesis Life without Facebook: Experimental study of non-using the social networking site Facebook focuses on non-usage of social networking sites and reflection of the disconnection from it. It aims to map functions that Facebook performs in indiviual and social life of a man, ideas about life without it and the experience of disconnection that was induced under the terms of one week experiment. The aim of the study is to outline what life without Facebook is like, point out possible advantages and disadvantages of it and describe what a person disconnected from social networking site can face both within him or herself and its social surroundings. This diploma thesis aims to contribute to understanding the importace of Facebook in our society as well as offer some paths to reflect its use. In the first theoretical part it offers a description of topics related to social networking sites from the media studies point of view. It briefly describes Facebook itself and the status of it in the Czech Republic. It also submits summary of studies clarifying the usage and non-usage of this social networking site.
