Bakalářská práce "Apoštolský stolec ve službě jednoty církve" se zabývá významem Apoštolského stolce, který reprezentuje nejvyšší zákonodárnou, výkonnou a soudní mocí v církvi. Analyzuje dějinný vývoj výkonu papežského primátu a rozebírá význam a účel duchovní moci církve. Klade si otázku, které aspekty jsou v práci Apoštolského stolce podstatné a neměnné a v čem spočívá odůvodnění výkonu jeho moci nad celou církví. Za tím účelem analyzuje strukturu jednotlivých úřadů, kterými je tato moc realizována, a jejich kompetence. Klíčovou pozornost věnuje analýze apoštolské konstituce Pastor Bonus, a přiklání se na jejím základě k závěru, že existují důvody pro reformu Římské kurie. Ty spočívají zejména v přesnějším vymezení kompetencí a úkolů v záležitostech, které paralelně řeší více dikasterií. Konstatuje tak účelnost vydání nové konstituce o Apoštolském stolci, která by obsahovala všechny změny v kompetencích, které nastaly od roku 1988 doposud. Shrnutí všech stávajících dodatků do jednoho dokumentu by usnadnilo orientaci ve struktuře Římské kurie a napomohlo k lepšímu pochopení vnitřních mechanizmů řízení církve. It analyses a historical development of a performance of the papal primacy and it analyses the importance and the purpose of a spiritual power of the Church. It proposes the question, which aspects of work of the Apostolic See are significant and constant and in what lays the reasoning of the power of the Apostolic See over the whole Church. For this reason the thesis analyses the structure of the individual authorities, which implement this power and their competence. The key attention is given to the analysis of the Apostolic Constitution 'Pastor Bonus' and based on it, it inclines to the conclusion, that there exist reasons for a reformation of the Roman Curia. They are especially based on a more accurate definition of competence and aims regarding parallel solution of more dikasterias. That way it states effectiveness of publishing a new constitution of the Apostolic See, which would contain all changes in competences, which have appeared since 1988.
