Diplomová práce Právo na zapomnění v prostředí internetu se zabývá funkcí internetových vyhledávačů, jejich vyhledávacích algoritmů a vlivu digitální stopy, kterou za sebou uživatel internetu nezbytně zanechává. S touto problematikou je na jedné straně nerozlučně spjata ochrana osobních údajů v internetovém prostředí, na straně druhé pak další ústavně zakotvená základní práva, jako je například právo na informace. Stranou nezůstává ani riziko cenzury internetu. Aplikace práva na zapomnění přidává těmto otázkám zcela nový rozměr. Právo na zapomnění je dovozeno z rozsudku Soudního dvora Evropské unie ze dne 13. května 2014 ve věci Costeja versus Google Spain, ve které uspěl Mario Costeja Gonzáles jako první uživatel internetu se žádostí o odstranění nelichotivých informací o své osobě z výsledků vyhledávání vyhledávače Google. Vznikl tak reformní precedent, který bude mít v budoucnu velký vliv na vyhledávání informací na internetu, neboť od vynesení tohoto rozsudku si o odstranění údajů o své osobě může požádat každý evropský uživatel internetu. Cílem diplomové práce je analýza práva na zapomnění v kontextu vyhledávání informací na internetu neboli práva být zapomenut v evropském internetovém prostředí - tedy nebýt na standardní vyhledávací dotaz vyhledán internetovým vyhledávačem. Diploma thesis The Right to be Forgotten on the Internet applies to the functions of Internet search engines, search algorithms and the impact of the digital footprint that on the Internet user essentially leaves. With this issue is, on the one hand, inseparably linked the protection of personal data in the online environment, on the other hand the constitutionally enshrined right to information and other fundamental rights. Not ignored should be also the risk of censorship of the Internet. An application of the right to be forgotten adds a whole new dimension to this problems. The right to be forgotten is inferred from the judgment of the European Court of Justice on 13 May 2014 in the case Costeja versus Google Spain, where an Internet user named Mario Costeja Gonzáles first succeeded with a request of removal of unflattering information about himself from results of the search engine Google. Thus a reform precedent will have a big impact on seeking information on the Internet in the future, since the pronouncement of the judgment about the removal of his personal data may ask any European Internet user.
