Práce se zaměřuje na studentské skupiny na Facebooku, jejich strukturu, nejvlivnější členy a typy příspěvků z pohledu zkoumání rozdílnými metodami, online dotazníkovým šetřením a vytěžováním dat. Hlavním cílem je porovnat metody sběru dat a zjistit, zda jsou jejich zjištění zaměnitelná a pokud ano, tak v jakém rozsahu. Zároveň je cílem poukázat na jedinečné aspekty každé z metod. Na základě porovnání výsledků jednotlivých metod lze říci, že zjištění metod jsou nahraditelné v omezeném rozsahu. V pozadí zjištěných odlišností je rozdílný přístup metod ke sběru dat, který přináší množství specifik každé metody, které jsou tak vhodné zvážit při volbě té pravé metody pro výzkum. Zatímco online dotazníkové šetření se vyznačuje například možností práce s paradaty a možností ptát se respondentů téměř na cokoliv, vytěžování dat z Facebooku umožňuje pracovat s velkým objemem dat sahajícím do minulosti a jejich analýzu. Přínosem práce je demonstrace použití zvolených metod v praxi pro lepší porozumění, nakolik jsou metody nahraditelné a nakolik se svými zjištěními odlišují. Čtenář tak získá lepší představu o tom, kterou metodu kdy využít. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) The work focuses on student groups on Facebook, their structure, the highly acclaimed users and types of posts being posted in the groups. All those aspects are being observed by different methods, online survey and data mining. The main goal is to compare those methods of data collection and observe, whether are findings comparable and if, to what extend. The other goal is to highlight unique aspects of each of methods. Based on the results it is safe to say that the findings of both methods are interchangeable in limited extend. Those limitations are based on different approach to data collection. Each of chosen methods offer different advantages which ought to be considered while deciding one or another method. While one of advantages of web surveys is the ability to work with paradata and ask possibly on anything, data mining from Facebook offer the possibility to work with big data and their analysis. The main benefit of work is the demonstrational usage of both methods to better understand the limits of findings. Thus the reader will gain better idea when use one or another method.
