[cze][eng] Práce se zabývá problematikou lidí s tělesným postižením v pravěku a raném středověku. Ze vzorku české archeologické literatury shromažďuje a vyhodnocuje údaje o archeologických nálezech s patologickými jevy, které by mohly svědčit o postižení jejich nositelů. Shrnuje dosavadní stav poznání zejména na základě zahraniční literatury a uvádí případy reflexe postižení v mytologii, právních normách, literatuře a ikonografii minulých společností a etnografických paralel. Pro další výzkum v této oblasti doporučuje zhodnocení velkých pohřebišť a klade důraz na multidisciplinární přístup k tématu. It gathers and evaluates osteological data from sample of Czech archaeological journals, that may prove disability. It sums up current state of knowledge and mentions various examples of reflexion of disability in mythology, laws, literature and iconography of past societies and current ethnographical parallels.
