V průběhu posledních několika let došlo k výrazné diferenciaci zdravotnických povolání. Současně se změnila i jejich role a postavení v ošetřovatelském procesu. Vznik nových oborů a rozdělení pracovníků v praxi podle dosažené odbornosti, vedlo ke změnám v organizaci práce na jednotlivých odděleních. Na oddělení intenzivní péče se pak setkáváme s péčí vysoce specializovanou, která klade na své pracovníky řadu odborných specifik. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat postavení jednotlivých pracovníků na oddělení intenzivní péče a zejména pak uplatnění zdravotnických asistentů. Dále se práce zabývá problematikou stanovení optimálního množství ošetřovatelského personálu na oddělení intenzivní péče. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, že na oddělení intenzivní péče pracovníci pod odborným dohledem v současné době nenachází potřebné uplatnění. Přesto však v budoucnu lze počítat i s větším uplatněním pracovníků pod odborným dohledem na oddělení intenzivní péče. At the same time their role and position has changed in the nursing process. Genesis of new professions and distribution of employees in the work field, based on their expertise, has led to changes in the work organization in individual departments. Therefore we can encounter highly specialized care in the intensive care departments, which places on its staff a number of specialized requirements. Aim of this thesis was to map the positions of individual workers and especially on the application of medical assistants. The thesis continues on with the issue of setting the optimal amount of nursing staff in the intensive care departments. Outcome of the thesis is that workers under supervision are currently not finding the proper use. However, in the future, we can count on more of these workers, in the intensive care units, to be more needed.
