Předmětem této bakalářské práce je překlad publicistického textu Halbe Männer, ganze Frauen z německého časopisu Der Spiegel a odborný komentář k němu. Komentář k překladu se zabývá překladatelskou analýzou textu dle Christiany Nordové, typologií překladatelských problémů a překladatelskými posuny, ke kterým při překladu došlo.
