Tato diplomová práce se věnuje vnímání mimoměstských událostí jednotlivými měšťany, čímž analyzuje pohled raně novověkého obyvatele českého města na okolní svět a možnosti, které měl takový člověk, aby se o dění okolo sebe dozvěděl. Děje se tak za pomoci rozboru mimoměstských událostí, které byly zaznamenané ve vybraných kronikách, vzniklých v letech 1575-1600, tedy v období, které je považováno za takzvaný "zlatý věk českých měst". Nejprve je nastíněno prostředí, ze kterého pocházeli jednotliví autoři kronik a které tudíž mohlo mít podstatný vliv na výběr událostí, které měšťané do svých prací zařadili, tj. postavení konkrétního města, vzdělanost v zmíněném období nebo osobní život pisatelů. V další části je za pomoci rozboru jednotlivých typů zaznamenaných informací (například turecké války, úmrtí významných osob, požáry, sněmy ad.) popisován obzor autorů, jinými slovy to, jaké události byly nejvíce zaznamenávány, a tudíž shledávány zajímavými a nevšedními, a jakým okruhům se konkrétní kronikáři nejvíce věnovali. Tímto způsobem je blíže nahlíženo na myšlenkový svět raně novověkého měšťana, který nám z důvodu absence jiných než úředních pramenů často zůstává utajen, a na impulsy, které takového člověka ovlivňovaly, formovaly jeho životní názor a určovaly, co zanechá příštím generacím. This diploma thesis covers the individual citizens' perception of suburban events in order to discuss the point of view of the early modern Czech citizen and their ability to gain information of the world around through the analysis of such suburban events that were registered in the chosen chronicles, originating between the years 1575-1600, a period that is considered "a golden age of the Czech cities". First, the background of the chroniclers is outlined, because it might have influenced the choice of events they decided to include in their works, i.e. the position of the concrete city, the level of education in the said period or the author's personal life. Second, the general knowledge of the authors is described in the thesis through the means of analysis of the type of recorded information (e.g. Turkish wars, the deaths of famous persons, wildfires, councils and the like). In other words, the thesis is to point out what type of information was considered to be the most interesting or extraordinary to the wider public, and which circles were usually covered by the chroniclers.
