Struktura společenstva půdních saprofágních roztočů je velmi významným ukazatelem nejen diverzity, ale v širším pohledu i typu a zachovalosti biotopu. Reakce společenstva na změny pak také zahrnují i historii vývoje biotopu vzad i do budoucnosti. Nejedná se tedy o bodový, okamžitý parametr ale i o ukazatel dynamiky. K tomu přistupuje i potravní biologie, která se ukazuje být významným faktorem nejen biologickým, ale i ekologickým. Tato práce přináší shrnutí dosavadních poznatků o studiu potravní biologie a struktury společenstev půdních saprofágních roztočů. Je zde také zahrnuto kritické zhodnocení metod studia půdních roztočů. Klíčová slova: pancířníci, struktura společenstva, potravní selekce. vii Community structure of soil saprophagous mites illustrates not only their diversity, but also it is able to characterize biotop as a whole. Such structure can be correlated with fluctuation of factors in with respect to the historical development and perspectives of biotope. Therefore, community structure exhibits the dynamics. The nutritional biology belongs to biological as well as to ecological parameters. This work presents the summary of existing knowledge about study of nutritional bi- ology and community structure of soil saprophagous mites and also critical analysis of methods studying soil mites.
