A B S T R A K T Kľúčové slová: rituál, prechodový rituál, spoločenská zmena, konzumná spoločnosť, média Táto práca sa zaoberá s rituálom, ktorý sa oslavuje dnes v Japonsku v tretom, piatom a siedmom roku života dieťaťa. Jedna sa o trojicu rituálov, ktorá sa bežne označuje spoločným názvom Šičigosan (v prekladu Sedem-Päť-Tri). V klasickom zmysle slova sa jedná o prechodový rituál. Dnes Šičigosan patrí medzi najpopulárnejšie oslavy japonskej rodiny. Práca umiestňuje historický vývoj rituálu do všeobecného spoločenského a kultúrneho diania v Japonsku v časovom rámci od osemnásteho storočia až po súčasnosť. Počas tohto vývoja rituál sa preukázal ako schopný adaptovať sa na meniace spoločensko-ekonomické podmienky. Zmeny, ktorými rituál prechádzal, sa týkajú hlavnejaponskej rodiny, spoločenskej pozícii žien, životného štýlu vo veľkomestách, vzniku spotrebiteľskej spoločnosti, posilnenia vplyvu médií a sveta marketingu. Jednotlivé kapitoly sa zameriavajú na rôzne faktory, ktoré ovplyvňovali a ovplyvňujú vývoj rituálnej formy a významovosti počas jednotlivých historických období. Analýza rituálu môže prispieť k lepšiemu pochopeniu dynamiky sociálnych premien v modernej spoločnosti, ako aj procesu, v ktorom sa utvára význam rituálu v interakcii medzi rôznymi aktérmi, ako sú rodina, obchodná sféra, média a... Keywords: ritual, rite of passage, social change, consumer culture, media This thesis deals with a ritual observed today in a panorama of extremely dense consumer culture in the highly industrialized society of Japan. The ritual in exam is known under the name of Shichigosan (translated into English as Seven-Five-Three) and it is observed by children of three, five and seven years of age. The ritual has its predecessors in various rural ritual observances that were associated to certain ages seen as threshold in the child's life. The consolidation of the urban pattern of the ritual went along with the transformation and urbanization during the Tokugawa shogunate from the 17th century onwards. The thesis describes the historical development of Shichigosan during which it has proved capable of adaptation to changing social and economic conditions without losing those elements that render it recognizable as a ritual mode of expression. The ritual in exam unfolds as a shared platform of meaning where basic social values, views on children and family life, and also individual perceptions emerge, are expressed and shaped at the same time.
