Tato rigorózní práce se zabývá problematikou rodičovství a jeho současné právní problematiky. Práce je rozdělena na sedm základních částí. V první z nich se zabývám problematikou určování rodičovství obecně, dále podrobně rozebírám problematiku určování a popírání mateřství a následně určování a popírání otcovství. Samostatnou část své práce jsem věnovala problematice surogačního mateřství, dále utajeným a anonymním porodům a stejně tak i problematice babyboxů. V poslední části své práce jsem se zamyslela nad návrhem nového občanského zákoníku a zároveň jsem nastínila některé úvahy de lege ferenda. Ve své rigorózní práci jsem vycházela zejména z aktuální právní úpravy dané problematiky, odborných právních publikací, odborných článků a studií a ze současné judikatury. This rigorous thesis deals with parenthood and its current complex legal situation. The rigorous thesis is divided into seven main parts. The first of them deals with the issue of determining parenthood in general, afterwards I discuss in detail the issue of determination and denial of motherhood and also identifying and denying of fatherhood. A separate part of my rigorous thesis deals with surrogate motherhood issues, as well as discreet and anonymous births and also issues of baby hatches. In the last part of my rigorous thesis I reflect on the bill of the new Civil Code and at the same time, I outlined some of the considerations de lege ferenda. In my rigorous thesis I relied mainly on the current legislation of the issue, of legal professional publications, articles and studies and the present case.
