Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice strategického managementu ve sportu. Je rozdělena do dvou nosných částí, z nichž v té první je provedena teoretická rešerše nejaktuálnější literatury pojednávající o strategii, strategii ve sportu a strategickém plánovacím procesu. V druhé části je pak analyzován házenkářský klub HC Dukla Praha, který hraje nejvyšší soutěž házenkářů v České republice. Analýza je provedena kvalitativní formou, a to konkrétně prostřednictvím osobních rozhovorů se sedmi vybranými respondenty. Vybráni byli zástupci z řad hráčů, fanoušků, ale především nejvyššího managementu. Cílem získaných dat bylo zhodnotit, jak pracuje HC Dukla Praha se strategií a jak jsou její jednotliví členové obeznámeni s jejími východisky. Hlavní zaměření bylo na rozdílnost teorie a praxe ve výše zmíněné organizaci. Na základě kvalitativní interpretace pak vznikla doporučení, která by mohl klub v budoucnu využít This thesis discusses strategic management in sport. There are two main parts in the thesis. First part includes theory about strategic management, strategic management in sport and strategic planning process. In the second part there is a research which analyzes Czech hanball club HC Dukla Prague. The research is qualitive and done by personal interviews with managers, players and spectators of the club. The main purpose of the thesis is to find out how the club works with the strategy and what are the differences between theory of strategy and real actions of the club. In the end there are some recommendations for the club how to improve their strategic planning process.
