Rychlé a relativně levné metody pro stanovení kontaminace půd pevným průmyslovým spadem jsou hledány v poslední době na řadě pracovišť. Jedna z nich - magnetometrie půd se jeví jako perspektivní. Je založena na faktu, že ferrimagnetické částice antropogenního původu jsou ukládány a akumulovány ve svrchních vrstvách půd a sedimentů. Recently, rapid and inexpensive (proxy) methods of outlining areas exposed to increased pollution by atmospheric particulates of industrial origin have been developed by scientists in various fields. One of them, soil magnetometry, seems to be a suitable tool, at least in some cases. This method is based on the knowledge that ferrimagnetic particles are deposited in top soil layers.
