Nedávný vývoj v teorii umění přinesl kritiku uměnovědy založené na hegelianismu a kantismu. Některé koncepty německé klasické filosofie však dodnes tvoří pilíře v teorii památkové péče. Jejich vyvrácení může základy památkové péče ohrozit. V kritické diskuzi, kterou dnes vedou teoretikové umění, by proto měl být problém památkové péče zohledněn. Recent developments in art theory have brought a criticism of art history based on Hegelianism and Kantism. However, some concepts of the classical German philosophy still form the pillars of monument conservation theory. Their refutation could put the basis of monument conservation in jeopardy. Hence, the critical discussion led by art theoreticians today should reflect the issue of monument conservation.
