Technika 3D skenování patří bezpochyby k moderním progresivním technikám, které, zvláště v některých oborech, nacházejí stále větší uplatnění. Nejinak je tomu na poli péče o naše kulturní dědictví. V principu jednoduchá metoda umožňuje díky rozvoji technických prostředků provádění stále nových aplikací a může přinášet široké spektrum důležitých informací. Přístroje jsou uživatelsky „přátelské“ a relativně dostupné. To jsou jen další důvody k tomu, že se 3D skenování více uplatňuje i v restaurátorských oborech. Krátký příspěvek popisuje techniku 3D skenování z pohledu restaurátora a je zaměřený zejména na poznání jejích možností, ale nezapomíná na daná omezení, která jsou vždy rozhodující. Čas od času se objevují tendence k nekritickému prosazování určitých metod či prostředků. Také v oboru restaurování známe množství podobných případů a zdá se, že metoda 3D skenování má nejlepší předpoklady stát se další z nich. 3D scanning technology is undoubtedly a modern progressive techniques that, especially in some areas, are increasingly applied. It is no different in the field of care for our cultural heritage. Relatively simple method brings, thanks to the quick development of means of implementation, still new applications and can deliver a wide range of important information. The devices are user friendly and comparatively affordable. These are just additional reasons for the fact that 3D scanning more applied in the fields of restoration. \nA short paper describes the technique of 3D scanning from the conservator-restorer's perspective and is focused primarily on understanding their capabilities, but does not forget those restrictions, which are always crucial. From time to time there is a tendency to uncritical promotion of certain methods or means. Many similar cases we also known in the field of cultural heritage and it seems that the 3D scanning method is well suited to become the next one.\n
