Článek uvádí přehled vybraných experimentálních metod studia historických materiálů a konstrukcí, vyvíjených a rozvíjených v Ústavu teoretické a aplikované mechaniky Akademie věd ČR v Praze. Dále se zabývá zvláštnostmi experimentálního vyšetřování historických materiálů a konstrukcí a z nich plynoucími základními metodickými přístupy. The paper presents a review of selected experimental methods for study of historic materials and structures, which have been developed or applied in the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague. It discusses peculiarities of the experimental investigation of historic structures and materials, which influence basic methodological approach. The contribution is focused especially on nonstandard methods of study of material characteristics and on testing of historic structures subjected to environmental loads or actions.
