Práce se zabývá problematikou podporování obnovitelných zdrojů energie. Pomocí dat z členských států Evropské unie je zkoumán vliv těchto zdrojů na celkové množství vypouštěných emisí skleníkových plynů. Vypracované regresní modely naznačují negativní vliv podílu elektřiny z obnovitelných zdrojů na celkové množství emisí, tedy že pomáhají snižovat míru znečištění. Dále práce obsahuje výpočet nákladů a výnosů na snížení emisí na základě českých dat. Dle výsledků z modelové situace založené na substituci jednotlivých zdrojů elektřiny vychází náklady na snížení emisí o jednu tunu CO2 na 150-250 euro. This paper examines the current situation of renewable energy sources. Using various models, the paper shows the relationship between the usage of renewables and the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions. Based on the data from EU, models show that using renewables helps to lower damage of the enviroment. Additionally, this paper includes calculation of estimated costs of lowering emissions in the Czech Republic. According to the results, lowering greenhouse gas emissions by one ton of carbon dioxide costs 150-250 euro.
