Práce se zabývá pozicí obnovitelných zdrojů v České republice a u jednotlivých druhů obnovitelných zdrojů energie zdůrazňuje jejich význam a možnosti dalšího rozvoje podle návrhu aktualizované Státní energetické koncepce. V další části se práce zabývá podrobněji situací vodních elektráren v České republice se zaměřením na způsob podpory tohoto typu zdrojů. Práce dokumentuje způsob a možnosti provozní a investiční podpory, současně práce mapuje možnosti využití strukturálních fondů Evropské unie při výstavbě vodní elektrárny. V praktické části práce je zpracován podnikatelský záměr na výstavbu konkrétní vodní elektrárny. Výsledkem práce je zhodnocení tohoto záměru a zjištění skutečnosti, že daná investiční příležitost je pro investora velmi dobrá. Aktuálnost práce je zejména v tom, že práce vychází z nové situace, která nastala úpravou legislativy související s podporou obnovitelných zdrojů energie. This thesis deals with the role of renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic and stresses the importance of various sources of renewable energy and the possibilities for further development, according to the draft of the updated State Energy Policy. The second part of this thesis focuses on the situation of hydro power plants in the Czech Republic with a closer examination of support for this resource. The thesis documents methods and possibilities of operational and investment subsidies, while simultaneously exploring the possibility of using structural funds of European Union in the construction of hydroelectric power plants. The practical part consists of an elaborated business plan for the construction of specific hydroelectric power. The result of this work is an evaluation of the project and the finding that the given investment opportunity is very attractive for the investor. Timeliness of the thesis is mainly in the fact that the work is based on the new situation that has arisen out of the updated legislation on support for renewable energy sources.
